El Caracoli
El Caracoli – El Caracoli in Yumbo, Valle del Cauca operates three quality early childhood development programs serving 616 children to date. El Caracoli was co-founded in 2010 by Fundacion Smurfit-Kappa, First Step Big Step and has received public support from ICBF; Colombias public family welfare institution since 2012. The program contributes to the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children under 5 years of age, through the implementation of the Colombian early childhood policy framework “De Cero a Siempre”.

Pies Descalzos Foundation is an organization dedicated to work for education in Colombia. With their work they seek to contribute to school infrastructure, the development of teaching skills and the search for effective learning practices to improve education in Colombia.

Have an optimal space for education, in order to generate infrastructure and relevant educational spaces to promote learning, access, permanence and integration of communities to this process.

Promote and seek effective practices to make learning processes meaningful.
Go to school to go beyond school.
Explore and strengthen talents for the effective development of student life plans and promote the development of their communities through an Open Door School strategy.
Education is a path of change, evolution and transformation which demands the commitment, participation and contribution of the whole society.
